For a skilled automotive technician, experience shows in the cars you have fixed, the faults you have tracked down and the standard of your repairs, not just in years. A well-established automotive business in New South Wales wants a trade-qualified Automotive Technician who can show genuine trade credentials, practical capability and a dependable work history.
Employment is permanent, full-time or part-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times. You will work with modern diagnostic equipment and quality tools in a team-focused workshop. Technicians in Dubai or elsewhere in the Gulf planning a move from UAE to Australia will find this a considered next step.
Key Responsibilities
- Service vehicles on schedule and handle routine maintenance, along with mechanical repairs on many makes and models
- Inspect vehicles methodically and find mechanical faults using diagnostic scanners and modern workshop equipment
- Work through repairs efficiently without letting workmanship slip
- Keep precise records of diagnostics, servicing and repairs, and explain faults and repair work clearly to customers
- Look after a safe, organised and clean workshop, following proper safety standards and workshop procedures
- Cooperate with fellow technicians and the wider workshop team
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant trade qualification such as Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent, and at least 3 years of post-apprenticeship automotive experience
- Demonstrated hands-on work across multiple vehicle makes and models, with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Competence with diagnostic equipment and automotive scan tools
- The ability to show genuine employment experience and qualifications
- Close attention to detail, a commitment to quality repairs and a dependable, professional approach to your responsibilities
- Capable of working on your own and contributing positively to a team
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence or eligibility to obtain one, and the ability to satisfy applicable employment and sponsorship requirements
