Automotive Technicians

Reputable dealerships and automotive groups in multiple Australian states are reviewing automotive technicians who already have established workshop careers. The work spans many vehicle brands and technical settings, from premium European and luxury makes to Japanese, Korean and emerging electric vehicle brands.

Employers want technicians who can show what they have worked on, where their skills were developed and which technical areas they genuinely know. Openings may include Automotive Technician, Senior Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Master Technician, EV/High-Voltage Technician and Technical Specialist.

For seasoned technicians in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh planning a move from UAE to Australia, this is a considered next step.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service vehicles and complete scheduled maintenance, mechanical repairs and replacement of components
  • Trace and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults with advanced diagnostic tools and workshop technology
  • Inspect vehicles to identify what repairs they need, working to manufacturer repair procedures and technical specifications
  • Handle modern electronic vehicle systems and ECU technology, and take on EV, hybrid and high-voltage work where suitably trained
  • Accurately record the inspections, diagnostics and repairs you complete
  • Keep workshop practices organised and safe while cooperating with fellow technicians and workshop staff
  • Produce consistent, quality workmanship on every repair you are given

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Minimum five years of relevant automotive technician experience, including previous dealership or recognised OEM workshop experience
  • Recognised automotive trade qualification, plus relevant manufacturer or brand training where available
  • Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge with proven fault-finding and diagnostic capability
  • Workshop and employment experience that can be verified, with supporting evidence available for qualifications and employment history
  • Experience with advanced diagnostics or ECU programming is advantageous
  • EV, hybrid or high-voltage experience is highly regarded
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • A commitment to quality standards and workshop safety
  • Completed TRA Skills Assessment and the required English-language test completed
  • Ready and willing to relocate to Australia
  • Suitable overseas candidates may be eligible for sponsorship
