A considered international move for heavy-equipment specialists: experienced HD Mechanics with a proven background on heavy mining equipment are invited to take their skills to a major mining operation in the USA.
The focus is practical capability, from diagnosing faults to maintaining complex machinery and keeping critical equipment running safely and reliably. Your trade qualification, employment history and hands-on equipment experience will all help establish your suitability.
The role runs on a 2/1 roster with quality tooling, competitive remuneration and overtime opportunities. The initial contract is 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Whether you work in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh, this could be your next move.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain heavy mobile mining equipment, completing planned preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
- Investigate mechanical faults, run accurate diagnostics and troubleshoot performance issues to find the underlying cause
- Repair or replace mechanical components as needed, drawing on technical documentation and diagnostic data
- Work across Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi and comparable machines
- Keep equipment available and downtime to a minimum, working closely with site teams to support reliable mining operations
- Carry out all maintenance in line with site procedures
- Record completed repairs, inspections and maintenance activity
- Uphold high workplace safety standards on every maintenance task
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel, HD or Mobile Plant Mechanic, with at least 5 years of post-trade industry experience
- Proven background on heavy mobile plant or mining machinery, including practical work on major OEM equipment, plus experience with Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, Komatsu or Hitachi equipment
- Strong skills in fault-finding, diagnostics and mechanical repair
- An employment history that relevant documentation can verify, and the ability to show genuine hands-on technical experience
- Prepared to work a 2/1 roster
- Able to work safely in a demanding mining environment
- Prepared to relocate to the USA and able to meet applicable visa and sponsorship requirements
