A varied Western Australian fleet is looking for qualified mechanics who diagnose faults confidently, complete repairs well and keep vehicles at a high professional standard.
You will work on coaches, buses, prime movers, cranes, light vehicles and small plant. Both residential and FIFO opportunities are available, and 482 visa sponsorship is offered to eligible candidates. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and service a diverse heavy vehicle fleet, delivering preventative maintenance programs and inspecting vehicles to identify what work is needed
- Diagnose mechanical faults, decide on repairs and carry out component replacement and mechanical repairs
- Work on heavy vehicle systems and diesel engines
- Back up breakdown response and maintenance in the field
- Complete workshop and maintenance tasks efficiently while keeping workmanship and safety standards high
- Comply with safety, operational and compliance procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle, Diesel or Bus Mechanic
- Relevant experience on commercial fleets or heavy vehicles, including trucks, coaches, buses or comparable equipment, and comfortable handling a wide range of vehicles
- Good fault-finding and mechanical diagnostic ability
- Able to work in remote and regional WA environments
- A safety-conscious, adaptable and dependable approach to work
- Current driver's licence, with HR desirable, and able to satisfy pre-employment medical requirements as well as drug and alcohol screening requirements
