A well-established automotive operation in the Northern Territory is seeking capable Motor Mechanics with genuine hands-on experience, sound diagnostic ability and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
- Work through mechanical faults systematically, using appropriate diagnostic methods to uncover the underlying problem and choose a suitable repair
- Inspect each vehicle and assess its mechanical condition before recommending work
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Complete mechanical repairs, including repairing and replacing engines, transmissions, suspension components and other systems
- Handle workshop tools and diagnostic equipment with accuracy and care for safety
- Finish every repair to professional quality and safety standards, keeping work practices accurate and professional from start to finish
- Test each vehicle once the repair is done to confirm it operates correctly
- Offer apprentices and junior technicians practical technical guidance
- Keep the workshop clean, safe and efficient
- Collaborate with the wider automotive team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised Motor Mechanic trade qualification, or an equivalent qualification earned overseas
- Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on automotive experience preferred
- Genuine vehicle diagnosis, servicing and repair experience that you can demonstrate, with evidence to back your qualifications and earlier employment
- Previous dealership or professional workshop experience is an advantage
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills, paired with careful, high-standard workmanship
- Current driver's licence, and able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles
- Comfortable working without supervision and accountable for the work you complete
- Strong communication and teamwork, a professional attitude and commitment to workplace safety
- Willingness to relocate to the Northern Territory
