Key Responsibilities
- Handle routine servicing and scheduled maintenance on vehicles, as well as mechanical repairs and component replacement
- Assess the mechanical condition of each vehicle, then work out what repairs it needs and recommend suitable solutions
- Carry out automotive diagnostics and fault-finding, using the right testing methods and equipment
- Finish assigned repairs efficiently and to a high standard, keeping professional standards across all servicing work
- Operate workshop tools and diagnostic equipment correctly and safely, in line with established workshop procedures and safety standards
- Work well on your own and as part of the team
- Keep building your technical knowledge and practical automotive skills
Requirements & Eligibility
- An Automotive Mechanic, Apprentice Mechanic or relevant automotive background
- 1st Year and 2nd Year Apprentices are encouraged to apply, Experienced and Qualified Mechanics are welcome, and candidates completing a Job Ready Program may be considered
- Overseas applicants who have relevant automotive experience are encouraged to apply
- Proven hands-on experience with vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs, and the ability to demonstrate genuine practical automotive capability
- Automotive diagnostics and fault-finding experience is advantageous
- A punctual, reliable and accountable approach, with a professional attitude and a strong work ethic
- Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
- Able to work independently and add positively to a team
