Vehicle Wrap Installer / Sign Writer

Automotive · Osborne Park, Perth WA, Australia · Full-Time · $45 - $50/hr

An installer's finished projects say more than any CV, and that is exactly how this Western Australian employer will assess its next Vehicle Wrap Installer. Hands-on experience, technical capability and a body of work you can show all count here, along with a firm grasp of what professional vehicle graphics require.

Most of your time will go on wrapping utes, vans, cars, trailers and trucks, and you will contribute to broader signage work as well. Because the role depends on precision and consistent results, your past work and portfolio will demonstrate your suitability. For installers in Dubai or elsewhere in the Gulf weighing a move from UAE to Australia, this is a considered next step.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out spot graphics, partial wraps and full wraps, achieving the same standard on fleet projects as on one-off vehicles
  • Ready surfaces and panels so applications go on cleanly and reliably, then fit vinyl accurately over edges, recesses, curves and tricky contours
  • Inspect your completed installations and hold presentation and finish to a high level
  • Work alongside designers to make sure printed artwork lands in the right position and is applied properly
  • Take on cutting, weeding, laminating and the rest of the graphic finishing process, and lend a hand with signage production and installation as required
  • Keep clients informed about what an installation involves and how the finished job looks
  • Manage installation tasks efficiently while still meeting quality expectations
  • Maintain an organised, clean and safe workshop, contributing both independently and as a team member

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in sign writing and vehicle wrapping, backed by strong proof of practical wrapping work
  • A portfolio showing finished professional wrap jobs, including full wraps on vehicles with complex contours and shapes
  • Sound technical knowledge of laminates, vinyl films and how they are applied
  • Consistently precise, high-quality finishes, achieved through careful detail and professional workmanship
  • Clear communication with colleagues and clients
  • Capable of handling tasks on your own and reaching the standards expected
  • Valid Australian C Class driver's licence
  • Prior use of 3M, Avery Dennison or Arlon products is advantageous, and manufacturer wrap certification is also advantageous
  • Holding an EWP, Working at Heights or White Card ticket is advantageous
  • Vehicle detailing or paint protection film preparation experience is advantageous; light fabrication or welding experience is advantageous too
  • Readiness to submit a resume and portfolio showing previous work
  • Sponsorship can be offered to a suitably qualified candidate
