Key Responsibilities

  • Fit tyres to passenger, commercial and 4WD vehicles, on standard as well as aftermarket wheels
  • Check and adjust wheel alignment on passenger vehicles and 4WDs
  • Handle light and medium automotive servicing and maintenance
  • Inspect tyres, wheels and related components, and rectify tyre and wheel issues
  • Turn workshop jobs around efficiently, in line with workshop KPIs and agreed completion times, without compromising quality
  • Apply safe operating procedures and workshop safety requirements, with accurate, professional workmanship on every task
  • Keep tools, equipment and work areas tidy and organised
  • Work independently and own the quality of completed work
  • Lend support to team members on general workshop activities when required, and communicate professionally with customers and colleagues

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Certificate III in Automotive or an equivalent qualification
  • A verifiable, demonstrated history in the automotive industry, with genuine technical skills and earlier workshop experience you can show
  • Hands-on tyre fitting and wheel alignment background covering passenger, commercial and 4WD tyres, plus fitting tyres to aftermarket wheels
  • Practical knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance
  • Physically able to lift and manoeuvre tyres
  • A strong focus on safety, accuracy and quality workmanship
  • Capable of working independently and managing allocated tasks, with a reliable, punctual and professional manner
  • Strong communication and teamwork, sound time management and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy workshop
  • Current manual driver's licence
  • Sponsorship is available for suitably qualified candidates who have the required experience
