Cookie Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

Many websites greet you with a banner asking you to accept a list of trackers. emiratesprime.ae does not, and this page explains why: the site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising tools. What it does store, and what other services may store when you use them through our pages, is described below.

1. Cookies and browser storage in brief

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to keep, usually so that it can recognise you on a later visit. Browsers also offer related mechanisms, namely local storage, session storage and IndexedDB, which allow a page to keep small pieces of information on your own device. Some of these vanish when you close a tab; others remain until you clear them.

2. What our own pages keep

For ordinary visitors, the answer is one technical value. When we publish an update while you have the site open, your browser may find that part of the page it needs has been replaced. To recover gracefully, the site records a timestamp named chunk_reload_at in session storage and reloads the page once. The value says nothing about you and disappears when you close the tab.

Our own staff, when signing in to the private administration area, cause Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to keep their sign-in session in the browser through IndexedDB or local storage, and to remember in local storage the email address used for email-link sign-in. None of this applies to the public pages.

3. Services provided by others

Several elements of our pages come from outside providers, and they receive certain information as a natural consequence:

  • Google Fonts. Our typefaces are served from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
  • YouTube. Video thumbnails are fetched from Google's image servers (i.ytimg.com). The player itself loads from youtube-nocookie.com only once you press play, after which YouTube may store data on your device in line with Google's policies.
  • WhatsApp, Facebook and LinkedIn. Share buttons on articles and our WhatsApp links send nothing until you click them, at which point the chosen service handles the visit under its own terms.

Links to sites such as buildaicv.com, talenttabloid.com and government portals take you to separate websites with policies of their own.

4. No analytics, no advertising

We do not measure visitors with analytics software, we carry no advertising, and we use no tracking pixels. Since nothing of that kind is placed on your device, there is no consent banner to dismiss.

5. Managing storage yourself

Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site storage, either for all websites or for particular ones; the settings or privacy menu is the place to look. A private or incognito window discards stored data when it is closed. Blocking storage will not prevent the public parts of emiratesprime.ae from working, although staff sign-in to the administration area does need it.

6. Updates to this policy

Should the way the site uses storage change, we will update this page and its date. Our wider handling of personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy.
