Bar Manager

This senior Bar Manager position in North Sydney suits a bar professional who already runs a tight operation and wants that experience to count in Australia. Whether you are leading a hotel bar in Dubai or a lounge in Doha, the employer is interested in more than service skills: leadership, organisation, cost awareness and dependable operational standards.
You will own the bar function, lead the team and help shape a quality beverage program. Your track record, leadership history and handling of day-to-day bar operations will weigh most heavily when your suitability is judged.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the bar's daily operations and work closely with the wider venue team
- Lead, coach and prepare rosters for the bar team
- Protect the quality of every cocktail, wine and spirit served
- Handle beverage purchasing, stock control, ordering and inventory systems so they run efficiently
- Watch beverage usage and cost results closely
- Write and keep current the operational procedures and checklists, and refine bar workflows and service processes
- Uphold responsible alcohol service standards and meet liquor licence requirements
- Contribute to beverage menu development and continued improvements
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least three years of relevant senior bartending or bar management experience, including demonstrated responsibility for running bar operations
- In-depth practical knowledge of cocktails, wine and spirits
- Prior experience in beverage stock management and ordering, with an understanding of beverage costing and inventory control
- A proven record of leading and training teams
- Strong organisational and communication abilities, plus high attention to detail and operational accuracy
- A current NSW RSA competency card
- Available to work evening and weekend shifts
- Valid Australian work rights or eligibility for employer sponsorship, and you must satisfy the applicable requirements for employer-sponsored employment in Australia
- Able to provide evidence of your relevant employment experience and professional background
