Key Responsibilities
- Cook authentic Indian dishes to commercial standards, applying specialised curry, tandoor and South Indian techniques
- Deliver consistent taste, texture, quality and presentation by working to established recipes, preparation methods and quality standards
- Complete ingredient and kitchen preparation ahead of service, then handle your cooking load efficiently through the busiest periods
- Keep kitchen hygiene and food safety practices strict and the workspace organised, clean and professional
- Liaise with fellow kitchen staff so food service stays efficient
- Support catering and event kitchen operations when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven commercial experience preparing Indian cuisine, with demonstrable expertise in curry, tandoor or South Indian cooking
- Strong practical knowledge of Indian ingredients and cooking methods
- The ability to turn out dishes of consistently high quality and keep that standard when working under pressure
- A background in a busy restaurant, catering or events kitchen
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Dependable attendance and a strong professional work ethic, with effective teamwork and communication skills
- Relevant culinary qualifications are advantageous
- Eligible candidates can access sponsorship, but candidates must satisfy the applicable requirements for it
