Cooking in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh and planning a considered career step? An expanding hospitality operator in Bathurst, NSW, is adding a capable, experienced Full-Time Chef to its brigade, and its menu features Japanese-inspired food.
Applicants should be able to prove genuine time in commercial kitchens, steady and trustworthy habits, and the technique to produce good food consistently. The successful chef will arrive with tested skills, keep a cool head when the pass is busy and add to a polished service.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce Japanese-inspired plates to the venue's quality benchmarks, choosing suitable techniques for dependable results
- Get ingredients inspected, prepped and in place before each service, keeping them to the standard required
- Hold flavour, quality, portions and presentation steady by sticking to recipes, house procedures and portion guidelines
- Work quickly across stations in prep and service, coordinating cooking so food reaches guests on time
- Decide what to prep first when the kitchen is under high volume
- Offer suggestions for updated menus, seasonal items and fresh dishes
- Leave your station tidy and service-ready at all times, in line with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety rules
- Watch how ingredients are being used, report what stock is running low and assist with orders so supplies never fall short
- Talk openly with other chefs and hospitality staff and contribute to an upbeat, disciplined and professional team culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 3 years in professional kitchens, plus a relevant culinary, commercial cookery or equivalent qualification
- Proven capability in a commercial restaurant setting; Japanese cuisine experience will be viewed favourably
- Solid hands-on cooking and prep knowledge, and familiarity with professional food safety and hygiene practices
- Keeps output consistent and detail-perfect even when service is hectic
- Strong planning, organising and time-management skills, and comfortable working with no constant supervision
- A team player across kitchen and restaurant staff who communicates well in the workplace
- Professional outlook with real emphasis on dependability and quality
- Free to work rotating shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays included
- Can provide verifiable proof of qualifications and experience
- Must satisfy Australian employment and visa eligibility requirements; an appropriately qualified, eligible candidate can be offered visa sponsorship
