Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation and cooking on the wok station through service, producing a range of Asian dishes with suitable commercial techniques
- Keep flavour, portions, presentation and quality consistent
- Step in on the grill, fryer, pan and general prep sections when required, adapting as service needs shift between sections
- Finish prep efficiently before and during service, keeping your station clean and organised
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures, helping with stock monitoring, rotation and inventory and using ingredients carefully to cut waste
- Coordinate smoothly with fellow chefs and the wider kitchen team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent recognised qualification, with verifiable evidence of relevant qualifications and work history
- Minimum two years of commercial wok-station experience in a relevant role, including demonstrated hands-on work preparing Asian cuisine
- Strong practical skills across wok, grill, fryer, pan and prep areas, holding standards steady under high-pressure service
- Knowledge of commercial food safety and hygiene procedures
- A professional, dependable and cooperative approach that works well in a fast-paced kitchen team
- Available for rotating rosters that include evenings, weekends and public holidays
