Experienced Cooks / Chefs who already live in Perth have the chance to join a Western Australian hospitality operation where demonstrated ability, dependability and on-the-job performance count.
This is more than filling a gap on the kitchen roster. The employer wants hospitality professionals with genuine commercial experience who deliver consistently when service is at its busiest. Living in Perth now is an essential condition for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily kitchen prep, getting ingredients ready before service
- Cook menu items to established recipes and standards, keeping quality and presentation consistent throughout service
- Manage several dishes at a time during peak periods, staying quick and efficient in a high-volume operation
- Store food correctly, rotate stock and keep an eye on ingredient usage to cut unnecessary waste
- Keep work areas spotless throughout operations, observing every hygiene and food safety procedure
- Communicate clearly with kitchen colleagues and service staff, helping the kitchen run in an orderly, productive way
- Respond professionally as service demands shift
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant Cook or Chef experience, backed by a demonstrated commercial kitchen background
- High-volume kitchen experience is strongly preferred
- Works efficiently through busy services, with consistency and strong attention to detail
- Brings a positive attitude, dependable work ethic and good teamwork and communication skills
- Takes a professional approach to customer service and food preparation, and can meet food safety and workplace requirements
- Current residence in Perth, Western Australia is essential; visa holders who already reside in Perth are welcome
- Can demonstrate authentic, verifiable work experience
- Committed to completing the required qualifying period
