Key Responsibilities
- Cook, prepare and plate high-quality dishes to the established menu standards
- Hold food quality, portion control and presentation consistent
- Contribute to menu planning and the creation of new dishes
- Lead, support and guide cooks and the rest of the kitchen team
- Run food preparation and kitchen operations through each service period
- Keep track of stock levels, food orders, food costs and wastage in the kitchen
- Apply the correct procedures for food storage, temperature control and stock rotation
- Stay compliant with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements, keeping equipment and work areas clean, safe and hygienic
- Work in step with the wider team to keep service efficient
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery, Hospitality or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time experience in a commercial kitchen
- Strong skills in cooking and food preparation
- Strong food presentation skills
- Experience supporting or supervising kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety, stock control, food costing and waste management
- Able to work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen environment
- Strong time-management, communication and teamwork skills
- Able to meet applicable visa sponsorship requirements
