Key Responsibilities
- Set the example in daily kitchen operations, supporting senior chefs with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Cook and plate modern dishes to a consistently high standard, drawing on a wide range of professional techniques
- Keep portion control, flavour and presentation consistent, and keep an eye on food quality and prep standards
- Help plan service, food production and prep, coordinating closely with the team as service runs
- Keep the kitchen flowing efficiently when volumes are high
- Follow workplace safety, hygiene and food safety procedures in an organised, clean and professional kitchen
- Build a cooperative, positive team culture focused on performance
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Minimum 1–3 years of commercial kitchen experience, including time as a Sous Chef, Senior Chef or in a comparable position
- Solid technical cooking knowledge, practical kitchen skills and demonstrated experience producing quality modern cuisine
- Able to work consistently and efficiently under pressure, with good organisation and time management
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, professional presentation and a dependable work ethic
- Sound knowledge of OH&S, hygiene and food safety requirements
- Available for flexible shifts across a 7-day roster, evenings included
- Professional employment referees with current contact details; visa sponsorship can form part of the employment pathway
