Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a varied range of high-quality dishes that meet customer expectations, keeping quality, presentation and portions consistent
- Manage prep tasks, ingredient preparation and stock control so the kitchen runs smoothly and stays organised
- Support menu execution through busy service, working closely with the team to keep service efficient
- Follow food safety procedures, maintain high hygiene standards and keep the kitchen clean and compliant with workplace standards
- Help foster a positive, professional team, sharing knowledge and supporting continuous improvement in the kitchen
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as a Chef in a commercial hospitality environment, gained in busy restaurants, hotels or similar food service operations
- The ability to keep quality and consistency high during high-volume service, with a strong understanding of kitchen procedures, food safety and hygiene practices
- Excellent teamwork and communication, good organisational skills and attention to detail, a positive attitude and strong commitment to customer satisfaction
- Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Relevant culinary training or industry experience preferred
- Overseas applicants must be eligible for New Zealand work visa requirements; sponsorship available for qualified candidates
