Key Responsibilities
- Turn out top-quality dishes for service in a professional kitchen, applying advanced techniques and keeping every plate consistent and well presented
- Pitch in across prep, service and coordination each day, cooperating with fellow chefs and front-of-house staff so service runs smoothly
- Bring solid know-how in food handling, cooking methods and kitchen routines, checking quality from the first step of production to the last
- Contribute to an upbeat, efficient brigade and keep several priorities under control when volumes peak
- Comply with food hygiene, health and safety rules in the workplace
- Keep extending your culinary knowledge and professional skill set
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified Chef with recognised culinary qualifications, relevant industry experience and real hands-on cooking ability that you can show
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a quality restaurant, hotel or similar professional kitchen, with previous time in a structured hospitality setting
- Thorough grasp of how a kitchen runs, from food preparation to service standards, and a firm commitment to excellent food and guest experience
- Able to supply verified employment history and professional references
- Good teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills
- Motivated to build a long-term career in Australia; sponsorship opportunities exist for applicants who successfully meet role and eligibility requirements
