Expect to own tasks across the whole kitchen: ingredient prep, cooking, plating, stock and keeping your workspace tidy and efficient. You will be part of an experienced culinary team that cares about consistency, collaboration and detail.
Lunch is the main service, which leaves most evenings free; weekends and public holidays are expected, and the odd function may call for extra availability. For cooks in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh, this is a considered next step.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and food items each day, timing prep and cooking so service flows efficiently
- Cook dishes from the menu using the right commercial equipment
- Assist with plating, making sure every dish leaves the kitchen to a consistent standard of quality and presentation
- Support group meal preparation as needed
- Partner with the Head Chef and kitchen colleagues, backing the team through high-pressure peaks
- Track stock levels and contribute to inventory control, receiving, labelling, storing and rotating products correctly
- Put practical waste-reduction measures into practice
- Run opening and closing routines and keep the kitchen hygienic, orderly and presentable in line with food safety and workplace hygiene rules
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of commercial cooking experience that is relevant, plus practical know-how in cooking techniques and food preparation
- Can show genuine work experience that is verifiable
- At ease in a busy commercial kitchen, holding quality and efficiency when the pressure is on
- Well organised, with a keen eye for detail
- Reliable, consistent, positive and professional in how you approach your responsibilities
- Works well as a member of a team
- Prepared to work public holidays and weekends, and to be available for occasional functions when required
- Can satisfy relevant sponsorship requirements where applicable
