Key Responsibilities
- Turn out breakfast and brunch dishes, including Australian classics, to established recipes, specifications and consistent standards
- Own the cooking during service with minimal supervision
- Handle prep and mise en place to suit each day's requirements
- Keep food quality, presentation and portion sizes consistent
- Work efficiently with the kitchen team in peak periods and keep communication flowing during service
- Follow the kitchen's recipes, procedures and operating systems
- Uphold cleanliness, food safety and an organised kitchen at all times
- Take feedback on board constructively, put required improvements into practice and help cover weekend and public holiday trading
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen, including hands-on preparation of breakfast and brunch-style dishes
- Able to work independently and with confidence during service
- A proven record of following recipes and established kitchen systems, with a consistent approach to food preparation and quality standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, plus a reliable, punctual and professional work ethic
- Composure and organisation in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to follow workplace procedures and accept constructive feedback
- Availability for weekends and public holidays
- Relevant work experience backed by appropriate employment evidence; eligible candidates may be considered for visa sponsorship
