Key Responsibilities
- Agree prep priorities with the team leader, then complete the day's food preparation to kitchen requirements
- Run your allocated section during service, preparing and presenting food consistently to the required standard
- Back up the wider kitchen team when service gets busy, communicating clearly with colleagues throughout
- Keep your workstation organised and efficient, cleaning equipment and work areas as the shift goes on
- Observe food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
- Help maintain a cooperative, professional kitchen culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Previous work in a café, commercial kitchen or hospitality environment, and good knowledge of how food preparation and kitchen operations run
- Able to work efficiently when service is fast-paced, and independently while still supporting the wider team
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a reliable, positive approach to work
- Willingness to take constructive feedback on board and improve
- Commitment to food safety and a clean workplace
- Availability for daytime and early morning shifts
- Candidates must be able to provide accurate information and documentation that supports verification of their identity and experience
