Front of House Supervisor

Hospitality · South Melbourne, Melbourne VIC, Australia · Full-Time · $80,000/yr

When the floor fills up, the best venues lean on a supervisor who takes charge without being asked. A growing hospitality business in South Melbourne, Victoria, wants an experienced Front of House Supervisor who has shown genuine leadership, sound judgement and the ability to keep things moving under pressure.

This is a hands-on leadership seat: you will coordinate the FOH team, protect service standards and help guests enjoy a consistently positive experience.

Real, provable hospitality experience is what matters, so be ready to explain your past responsibilities, how you lead and what you know about front-of-house operations. For supervisors in Dubai, Doha or Abu Dhabi, it is a considered next move.

  • Read the flow of the room and react decisively when something goes off course
  • Make sure guests receive consistent, polished service, and handle their questions and complaints sensibly
  • Take charge of POS transactions, orders and cash
  • Keep the link with the kitchen tight so service moves efficiently
  • Check FOH cleanliness, presentation and food safety practice, holding workplace and service standards throughout every shift
  • Help train and grow FOH staff
  • Roll up your sleeves at peak times and lead by example through professional conduct and high work standards

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Proven time as a Front of House Supervisor or in a similar hospitality leadership position, including demonstrated management or coordination of hospitality staff
  • High-volume hospitality or QSR experience is advantageous
  • Strong people-management and communication skills, plus confident customer service and problem-solving
  • Composure, organisation and effectiveness when service is busy
  • A strong sense of responsibility, dependability and a positive, professional attitude to hospitality
  • Availability on weekdays, evenings and weekends
  • A current RSA Certificate
  • Your previous employment and relevant experience must be genuine and verifiable, and you must satisfy applicable requirements for visa sponsorship
