Haid Waiter

Hospitality · Highgate, Perth WA, Australia · Full-Time · $30 - $40/hr

Hospitality professionals who have refined their service in premium restaurants in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Doha may find this Perth role a natural next step. A French-inspired dining venue in Western Australia is recruiting an experienced Head Waiter/Waitress to help lead front-of-house, where food, wine and the guest experience carry equal weight.

The venue values consistency, polish and real care in every interaction. Rather than filling a standard service slot, you will become central to how guests are welcomed and looked after, and you should be ready to show the background, service skill and professional standards that support your application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the quality of front-of-house service throughout each shift, representing the business with reliability, professionalism and integrity
  • Greet guests warmly and set a polished first impression
  • Run tables smoothly from the moment guests arrive until they leave
  • Draw on solid product knowledge to talk guests through food, wine, coffee and beverage choices, suggesting suitable food and wine pairings
  • Provide professional wine service while holding service standards high
  • Work hand in hand with the kitchen and front-of-house team, keeping service flowing during high-volume periods
  • Read guest satisfaction, respond quickly to individual needs and resolve any service concerns professionally
  • Help mentor and support other service staff
  • Keep the floor clean, well presented and organised
  • Apply responsible alcohol service procedures and venue policies, and assist with daily opening and closing
  • Offer ideas and effort that lift the overall guest experience

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant restaurant experience; a proven fine dining or professional service background is preferred
  • Experience as a senior waiter, head waiter or in a comparable role will be highly regarded
  • Solid hands-on knowledge of table service and restaurant operations, plus confident wine knowledge and professional wine service
  • A genuine interest in food, wine and coffee
  • Fluent English and strong spoken communication skills
  • A valid RSA or a Manager's Liquor Licence
  • Shown capacity to stay composed under pressure, juggle competing priorities and keep service standards consistent across busy shifts
  • Strong teamwork, leadership and interpersonal skills, with professional presentation, a positive attitude, a reliable work approach and close attention to detail
  • Willing to work weekends and hospitality trading hours
  • Able to provide evidence of relevant employment history and experience; candidates who meet the required criteria may be considered for sponsorship
