Housekeeping leaders who have run busy hotel floors in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh may find a considered next move on the Gold Coast. An established Australian hospitality operation is recruiting an experienced Executive Housekeeping Manager to own housekeeping performance, coordinate the team and keep every room guest-ready.
Your suitability will be judged on what you can clearly show from past roles: the responsibilities you held, the teams you led and how you handled a demanding hotel environment. You will be relied on to keep operations organised, protect quality standards and partner with hotel leadership to deliver consistent results.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily housekeeping operations and the performance of the team, fostering a professional culture built on accountability, service and quality
- Plan each day's workload and assign duties according to operational priorities, adjusting staffing and resources as demand changes
- Run team briefings that set clear service expectations, and keep communication open between housekeeping staff and hotel management
- Check room readiness so every room meets the required standard before guests arrive
- Partner with hotel leadership to maintain and raise housekeeping quality
- Look after rosters, daily administration, billing support and other operational processes
- Keep health, safety and compliance procedures accurate
- Watch housekeeping standards, deal promptly with performance issues and put practical fixes in place for operational problems
- Hand over shifts effectively so operations continue without interruption
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience running hotel housekeeping operations, with genuine hands-on experience relevant to this position
- Prior experience as a Housekeeping Manager or senior housekeeping professional is highly regarded
- Proven capability to supervise, coordinate and motivate housekeeping teams
- Sound understanding of hotel room standards and what guests expect
- Effective relationship-building and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisation, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy hotel
- A confident approach to solving operational problems
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and a strong commitment to compliance and professional standards
- Understanding of annualised budgets and operational costs
- Professional presentation, a service-focused attitude and availability to work weekends and public holidays when required
- No formal qualification is required, but candidates must be able to substantiate their relevant professional experience; sponsorship is available for eligible candidates
