Pizza Chef

A professional Western Australian hospitality venue wants a Pizza Chef who values consistency, hands-on skill and genuine industry experience. You should be able to show your pizza-making ability and handle the pace of a commercial kitchen with confidence.
Your contribution to daily operations will be turning out quality pizzas while keeping prep efficient, food handling safe and service standards steady. Key Responsibilities
- Make the dough, sauces, toppings and other pizza components needed for service, then prepare and cook pizzas to the required recipes and quality standards
- Run commercial pizza ovens safely at the right cooking temperatures, applying consistent techniques for preparation, cooking and presentation
- Organise prep efficiently ahead of and during service, keeping quality steady when volumes are high
- Observe hygiene, sanitation and food safety procedures, and keep the pizza station tidy, clean and service-ready
- Control portions accurately and avoid unnecessary food waste
- Cater for special requests and dietary requirements, and help with general kitchen duties when required
- Coordinate service with chefs and kitchen staff, communicating professionally as part of the team throughout
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience as a Pizza Chef or in a comparable commercial kitchen role, with proven hands-on ability in cooking and preparing pizza
- In-depth knowledge of pizza production, sauces, toppings and dough preparation
- Experience operating commercial pizza ovens, including gas-fired or wood-fired equipment
- An understanding of Australian-style food safety and hygiene expectations
- Consistent food quality under pressure, with a sharp eye for presentation and detail
- Effective teamwork in a professional kitchen and a flexible, dependable, professional attitude
- Genuine evidence of your relevant industry and employment experience; relevant food-handling or hospitality qualifications are advantageous
- You must satisfy applicable requirements for visa sponsorship where relevant
