Restaurant Manager

Experienced hospitality leaders running busy floors in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh may find a strong next move in Melbourne. An established premium venue in Victoria wants an accomplished Restaurant Manager to lead Front of House and shape an outstanding dining and entertainment experience.

This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives in an energetic setting, enjoys growing people and takes ownership of how the operation performs. You will be trusted with the service team, the standards they work to and the guest experience they create, with a direct hand in the venue's continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold overall accountability for Front of House service and the daily running of the venue
  • Motivate and lead the team so hospitality stays consistently high quality, building a culture centred on performance, teamwork and guest satisfaction
  • Set professional service standards and keep them consistent throughout the venue
  • Handle rosters, staff schedules, reservations and the flow of guests
  • Recruit the right people, run their induction and training, and keep coaching and mentoring them to perform
  • Look for ways to lift service quality and operational efficiency
  • Act on guest feedback and resolve issues appropriately
  • Track KPIs and help the venue reach revenue and profit targets, supporting labour planning, stock management and cost control
  • Run hospitality systems such as POS and rostering platforms
  • Ensure RSA, workplace health and safety and other regulatory requirements are met
  • Partner with management on operational and business initiatives, offering ideas for growth, sustainability and long-term performance

Requirements & Eligibility

  • At least 2 years as a Restaurant Manager, Venue Manager or senior Front of House professional
  • A solid track record in premium, high-volume or fast-paced hospitality settings, and comfortable working in a dynamic hospitality environment
  • Shown ability to lead, motivate and grow hospitality teams, including proven experience in recruiting, training and retaining staff
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service, with a genuine passion for exceptional guest experiences
  • Confident using POS, rostering, stock control and operational systems, and an understanding of financial performance, KPIs, labour costs and cost control
  • Valid RSA certification
  • A Certificate IV or higher in Hospitality is desirable, though not essential
  • Strong organisation and time-management, along with confident decision-making and excellent problem-solving
  • A professional, proactive and commercially aware approach
