Restaurant manager

Hospitality · Indooroopilly, Brisbane QLD, Australia · Full-Time · $40/hr

Great restaurant managers do more than coordinate service: they create the kind of room that brings customers back and gives the team confidence.

A quality Brisbane venue is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead visibly from the front. You will set the tone on the floor, connect with guests, motivate the front-of-house team and find practical ways to improve both the customer experience and revenue, turning exceptional service into loyalty and stronger results.

The target is clear: help lift restaurant sales by approximately 15–20% within the first three months. Hours are a steady 4:00pm to 9:30pm with no early starts or split shifts, and a full-time position may follow depending on experience and performance. For hospitality leaders in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh, this is a considered next move.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run front-of-house operations so evening service flows smoothly, setting and holding consistently high service and presentation standards across the venue
  • Stay visible and approachable on the floor, greeting customers and making a positive first impression
  • Build genuine relationships with regulars, encouraging loyalty, repeat business and an atmosphere guests want to return to
  • Lead, coach and motivate front-of-house staff, setting the example through professional, hands-on leadership
  • Find ways to improve the customer journey and spot appropriate upselling opportunities to lift spend
  • Help deliver the targeted 15–20% increase in restaurant sales
  • Track customer feedback and respond professionally to any concerns
  • Pinpoint service and operational improvements
  • Encourage the team to own customer satisfaction, supporting a positive, energetic, performance-focused culture
  • Show initiative and act on opportunities without needing constant supervision

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a senior hospitality management role, with a strong customer-facing hospitality background
  • A naturally warm, friendly and approachable personality, with a confident and engaging way of communicating
  • Excellent spoken English and professional personal presentation
  • Strong at building customer relationships, genuinely enjoys talking with guests, and remembers preferences to develop repeat relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a hands-on approach to running a restaurant
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of restaurant sales, including confidence upselling and lifting average customer spend
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Strong initiative, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Available to work from 4:00pm to 9:30pm
  • Australian work rights or eligibility for employer sponsorship
  • Able to meet applicable Australian immigration and sponsorship requirements
