An established Queensland hospitality business is seeking a capable Restaurant Manager with real experience leading teams, running service and holding high standards when the room is full.
You will own people, performance, organisation and the complete guest experience, working hand in hand with the wider management group and the kitchen. Applicants should be able to evidence their background with verifiable employment history and relevant qualifications, with genuine skills and responsibilities at the forefront. Key Responsibilities
- Run the restaurant day to day, leading by example and keeping the environment professional
- Supervise the front-of-house team, setting clear expectations for service and performance and training staff so standards stay consistent
- Build rosters, manage staffing needs and keep an eye on labour utilisation and efficiency
- Keep front of house and the kitchen working in step, overseeing guest service across breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Respond to guest enquiries, feedback and concerns, and look after reservations and bookings
- Track stock, inventory and the relevant restaurant records
- Contribute to menu development, seasonal changes and operational improvements, partnering with management to lift processes and team performance
- Uphold cleanliness, presentation and service standards throughout the restaurant
- Oversee food safety, licensing, WH&S and wider workplace compliance
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum two years of relevant full-time experience in restaurant management and/or a relevant diploma
- Demonstrated responsibility for restaurant operations, backed by verifiable employment history relevant to the role and supporting evidence of past experience
- Strong staff-management and leadership skills
- Confident written and verbal communication, plus good time-management and organisational abilities
- Experience coordinating the workforce and building rosters, with an understanding of restaurant cost control and labour costs
- Strong conflict-resolution and customer service skills
- Stays organised and effective through busy service periods, and keeps standards consistent across service, presentation and cleanliness
- An accountable, reliable, professional approach and genuine interest in team development and hospitality operations
- Must meet applicable visa eligibility and sponsorship requirements
