Shotcreter

Construction · Sydney NSW, Australia · Full-Time · $80,000/yr

Ground engineering projects in NSW need a Senior Shotcreter for a permanent, full-time role. You will join seasoned anchoring and drilling crews on ground stabilisation work where precision, consistency and safety are non-negotiable.

What counts here is proof: genuine time running shotcrete equipment, quality applications delivered, and a record of working safely in complex ground engineering settings. Your hands-on background, technical ability and project history will decide your suitability. If you are working in Dubai, Riyadh or Doha and planning your next move, this is a considered step into Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run shotcrete machinery and equipment for specialist ground support work, taking charge of day-to-day shotcrete activity on your assigned projects
  • Prepare surfaces, then spray shotcrete to project specifications using appropriate concrete mixing and spraying techniques
  • Keep application quality and workmanship consistent
  • Work hand in hand with anchoring and drilling crews, and collaborate with supervisors, operators and other site personnel
  • Build the practical skills of team members and champion strong safety awareness across shotcrete work
  • Check equipment condition and handle routine maintenance
  • Read changing site and environmental conditions and respond appropriately, following project-specific safety, quality and operational procedures
  • Help projects run efficiently and finish with successful site outcomes

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Proven professional background as a Shotcreter, including demonstrated operation of shotcrete machinery and related equipment
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of concrete mixing and shotcrete application
  • Experience in ground support, ground engineering or related construction environments
  • Able to demonstrate and verify your previous relevant employment and technical experience
  • Able to work effectively with anchoring and drilling teams and as part of a wider team
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Nationally accredited OHS Card / White Card or equivalent
  • Full driving licence and your own reliable transport
  • MR licence for line pump operations where applicable
  • Able to cope with demanding site and environmental conditions, and to pass a project-specific pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
  • Relevant Australian work rights or eligibility for employer-sponsored employment; visa sponsorship is available for suitably qualified candidates with verifiable experience
