Live events bring a special energy, and an established hospitality and events organisation in New South Wales is growing its Front of House team with enthusiastic Casual Wait Staff to match.

You will help deliver seamless service and memorable moments at a varied portfolio of high-quality events, from gala dinners and corporate functions to elegant weddings and private celebrations. It suits hospitality professionals who like variety and people, and you will build experience across many venues and event styles alongside experienced event and hospitality professionals. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and offer professional, friendly help, providing polished, attentive service from start to finish of each event
  • Set up dining areas, tables, service stations and function rooms, then clear and reset tables during and after functions
  • Take food and drink orders accurately and serve them efficiently to service standards
  • Watch for guests' needs and act quickly on requests, adapting to different venues, event formats, service demands and guest requirements
  • Help weddings, corporate functions, private events and large celebrations run smoothly, working closely with service, event and kitchen teams
  • Keep the Front of House area tidy, organised and presentable, and follow venue procedures on hygiene, food safety, workplace safety and responsible alcohol service
  • Present professionally and stay positive through every shift

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Previous hospitality, waiting, functions or customer service experience is preferred
  • A genuine interest in creating high-quality guest experiences, backed by strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Punctual, dependable and professionally presented, and comfortable in busy, fast-changing settings
  • Able to collaborate with kitchen and Front of House teams
  • Flexible availability for weekends, evenings, public holidays and event-based shifts, plus willingness to work across multiple venues throughout New South Wales
  • A current Australian RSA certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Appropriate Australian working rights where applicable; relevant overseas hospitality experience may be considered for sponsorship
