Finance professionals weighing their next move: a care services provider in Western Australia, still expanding, needs an Accountant with a proven record, meticulous accuracy and the assurance to lead intricate receivables and reporting work.
Your remit centres on NDIS and brokerage receivables, alongside accounting help for the Support at Home area. Claims for funding, reconciliations, month-end reports and compliance will all pass through your hands, and your aim is financial data that stays correct, clear and properly controlled.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the NDIS and brokerage receivables cycle, covering quotes, service agreements, invoices, claims and the collection of what is owed
- Scrutinise funding claims and chase down any that are underpaid, held up or rejected
- Match receipts to the right accounts, reconcile remittances, funding payments and client balances, and pursue overdue debts suitably
- Balance the receivables control accounts, investigate any variances and raise the resulting journals and adjustments
- Back the Support at Home receivables team with accounting expertise, handling client budget reconciliations and tricky account queries
- Verify services, funding arrangements, agreements and invoices together with operations staff
- Reconcile bank, balance sheet, general ledger and intercompany accounts
- Record accruals, prepayments, depreciation and similar entries
- Play a part in monthly and annual close, contributing to the profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow reports
- Feed into management reporting and financial analysis, as well as budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and spending reviews
- Help meet BAS, GST, payroll tax and other statutory obligations
- Maintain precise records and sound internal controls
- Suggest and support enhancements to receivables processes, reporting and accounting systems
Requirements & Eligibility
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- A demonstrated career in professional accounting, with deep exposure to invoicing, collections, accounts receivable, payment allocation and reconciliations
- Hands-on involvement in journals, financial reporting and month-end accounting
- Working knowledge of Australian accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills, as well as familiarity with financial management and accounting software
- A strong analytical mind and problem-solving ability, paired with excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Clear communication in writing and in person, plus the ability to operate independently yet contribute effectively within a wider team
- Professional discretion when handling confidential financial information
- Background in NDIS, aged care, Support at Home or government-funded receivables is highly regarded
- Familiarity with quotes, service agreements and funding schedules is advantageous
- Knowing the SCHADS Award and Nurses Award is advantageous
- Exposure to payroll processes and Employment Hero is advantageous
- Holding a CPA or CA qualification, or working toward one, is advantageous
- Able to satisfy Australian employment and applicable sponsorship requirements, with employer sponsorship on offer for the right candidate
