Aluminium Fabricator

A growing window and door manufacturer in Hawera, Taranaki, needs Aluminium Fabricators who have proper workshop experience and produce accurate, quality work shift after shift.
You will join a structured production team supplying residential and commercial projects, handling aluminium components, production machinery and detailed assembly. Hands-on experience, a sharp eye for detail and the discipline to follow established processes are what keep output and quality on target.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate aluminium components for windows and doors
- Assemble the finished aluminium products to the required specifications, fitting glass and wedge units during production
- Take precise measurements of materials and components
- Cut aluminium and timber on the workshop saws and machinery, then drill and punch parts accurately
- Inspect completed units for accuracy and quality
- Get finished products ready for dispatch and help with deliveries when required
- Handle workshop tools, equipment and machinery safely, in line with workplace health and safety requirements
- Keep workstations, equipment and vehicles tidy and organised
- Work to the documented manufacturing procedures so production and quality standards stay consistent
- Finish assigned work within the required timeframes
- Cooperate effectively with others on the production team
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 12 months of hands-on aluminium fabrication experience, gained in a manufacturing or workshop environment
- Confident with fabrication tools and machinery
- Able to measure and cut materials accurately and to drill, punch and assemble aluminium components
- Understands quality-control requirements and works with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Follows established production procedures and is willing to learn and adapt to workplace processes
- Physically capable of lifting items over 20kg
- Reliable, punctual and responsible, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Works productively in a team and independently when required
- Able to demonstrate genuine and relevant work experience
- Eligible for New Zealand employment or applicable sponsorship support
