Key Responsibilities
- Perform heavy and line maintenance, covering both planned and unplanned maintenance inspections
- Find the cause of aircraft defects and put them right, troubleshooting components and systems
- Service aircraft, inspect them and replace components
- Assist with turnarounds and line maintenance across regional jets and turboprops
- Complete maintenance paperwork and technical records accurately
- Work strictly to approved procedures, within CASA requirements and the relevant aviation standards
- Raise and report any technical issues you identify
- Cooperate with other engineers and maintenance personnel
- Join aircraft type courses and additional approval programs
Requirements & Eligibility
- Licensed engineers (LAME – B1.1 / B2) need to hold a current CASA B1.1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence
- For licensed engineers, hands-on Q400 time is essential
- Time on the Dash 8 Classic 100/200/300 will be highly regarded for licensed engineers
- Licensed engineers with B737 NG or MAX exposure will find it advantageous, while work on narrow-body or wide-body types is beneficial
- Licensed engineers should also bring a solid practical record in aircraft maintenance and a sound grasp of aviation safety and maintenance procedures
- AME candidates need a minimum 5 years' aviation industry experience along with relevant aircraft maintenance qualifications
- For AME candidates, practical line maintenance exposure is preferred
- Heavy maintenance backgrounds will also be considered for AME candidates
- Turboprop exposure is advantageous for AME candidates
- AME candidates should show strong skills in troubleshooting and rectifying defects
- AME candidates need to be able to work safely and efficiently where maintenance demands are high
