Key Responsibilities
- Provide men's haircuts, skin fades, taper fades, beard trims, styling and grooming, keeping quality consistent and accurate across every service
- Understand what each client wants and recommend suitable styles
- Make every visit welcoming and professional, building lasting client relationships through dependable service
- Prepare, clean and look after tools, equipment and your work area in line with hygiene, health and safety requirements
- Keep your personal presentation to a high standard
- Support fellow barbers and the wider team cooperatively
- Take part in coaching, training and skills development, bringing new techniques and industry trends into daily services
- Work towards agreed service and performance targets
- Suggest ideas and back initiatives that improve the client experience
- Grow your leadership skills and step into greater responsibility when appropriate
- Help keep the workplace positive, respectful and high-performing
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of professional barbering experience, including hands-on work you can demonstrate in a commercial barbering environment
- Strong technical skill in men's haircuts, fades, styling and beard grooming, adaptable to different client preferences and current barbering trends
- Genuine, verifiable barbering experience, supported by a relevant employment history
- A solid grasp of professional barbering standards and client service
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, professional presentation and attention to detail
- A positive, team-focused attitude and a dependable, responsible approach to work
- Willing to take on ongoing training and skills development
- Real ambition to progress within the barbering industry
- Able to meet applicable Australian employment requirements
