Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional barbering to a consistently high standard, owning the quality and consistency of every cut
- Execute modern fades, clipper and scissor cuts, and styling
- Offer beard trims, grooming and shaves
- Talk clients through their options and suggest styles suited to their preferences and features
- Give each client a personalised, professional experience that builds long-term loyalty and repeat visits
- Keep hygiene, cleanliness and your workstation's presentation to a high standard, helping the shop feel welcoming and professional
- Communicate courteously with clients and teammates, adding to a collaborative, energetic culture
- Stay current with new barbering trends, products and techniques while continuing to build technical and customer-service skills
- Use your initiative to help the workplace run smoothly
- Reflect well on the business in your conduct, appearance and craftsmanship
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised Certificate III in Barbering, Hairdressing or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum two years of relevant professional barbering experience, including demonstrated practical work with fades, clipper work and scissor cutting
- Competent in beard trimming, grooming and shaving, with an understanding of contemporary barbering styles and techniques
- Close attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- A professional appearance and a dependable work ethic
- Strong customer-service and communication skills, and the ability to build genuine client relationships
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team
- Willing to keep learning and developing professionally
- Able to provide evidence of relevant qualifications along with verifiable employment history and industry experience
- An existing personal clientele is advantageous but not essential
- Must satisfy applicable Australian employment and sponsorship requirements, and must be eligible for the relevant sponsorship pathway where sponsorship is required
