An established barbering and hairdressing team in Wagga Wagga is recruiting a Barber / Hairdresser with genuine industry experience, dependable professional credentials and a real commitment to customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut men's, women's and children's hair to a high standard, in both classic and contemporary styles
  • Talk with each client to understand the cut and styling they prefer, and suggest suitable hair care and grooming products
  • Trim, shape and groom beards, and offer wet shaves where you have the appropriate skill
  • Keep cutting, styling and finishing consistent, paying close attention to detail on every service
  • Offer friendly, professional service that builds lasting relationships with new and regular clients
  • Keep your station clean, hygienic and organised
  • Present yourself professionally at all times
  • Observe workplace health, safety and hygiene procedures
  • Take part in training and ongoing professional development
  • Work well alongside fellow barbers and hairdressers and help keep the workplace positive and team-minded

Requirements & Eligibility

  • A relevant Barbering or Hairdressing qualification is preferred
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in a barbershop or salon, with strong technical skill in both traditional and modern haircutting
  • Able to work confidently across different hair types and client needs
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, a strong customer service mindset and a professional appearance
  • A dependable, positive and motivated attitude with good attention to detail
  • Able to work on your own and as part of a team, and keen to keep learning new techniques and developing professionally
  • Experience in shaving and beard grooming is advantageous
  • Apprentices with suitable hands-on training may also be considered
  • Applicants must be able to provide genuine, verifiable qualifications and employment history, and must meet applicable Australian employment and visa requirements
  • Onshore candidates are preferred
  • Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate
