Key Responsibilities
- Bone and trim beef carcases using the right techniques
- Prepare primal cuts to the required specifications
- Protect yield, presentation and product quality
- Handle knives and processing equipment safely
- Work through production tasks quickly and accurately while keeping workflow and output consistent
- Watch product closely and raise any quality or contamination concerns
- Keep strict personal and workplace hygiene
- Comply with halal processing requirements
- Observe food safety and WHS procedures
- Contribute as a dependable member of the production team
- Take part in workplace training and development as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven background in beef processing, boning, slicing or halal slaughter, with demonstrated commercial knife-handling ability
- Practical knowledge of beef cuts and processing techniques, and the ability to evidence relevant industry experience
- A firm focus on accuracy, quality and safe work practices
- Capacity to work productively in a physically demanding environment, showing good reliability, teamwork and workplace discipline
- Ability to follow detailed processing and hygiene procedures
- Current Australian working rights or eligibility for sponsorship
- Overseas applicants must meet applicable Subclass 482 requirements, including a relevant skills assessment where required for the nominated occupation
- Ability to satisfy applicable English, health and character requirements
