Key Responsibilities
- Read technical drawings, measurements and fabrication specifications, then fabricate and assemble steel components to suit each project
- Undertake welding and boilermaking work across workshop jobs, preparing materials by cutting, drilling, grinding and other fabrication processes
- Run the relevant workshop machinery and equipment
- Check quality at each stage of fabrication and sort out fabrication problems where required
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas in good condition while working safely with other trades and workshop staff, in line with all workplace health and safety requirements
- Help create a productive, positive team environment
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised trade qualification in Boilermaking, Welding or Fabrication, supported by verifiable trade qualifications and a relevant employment history
- Hands-on workshop experience that is relevant to the role, with steel fabrication and welding skills you can demonstrate and the ability to understand technical drawings and measurements
- A firm focus on quality and safety, together with good teamwork and communication skills
- Dependable attendance and a reliable approach to the work you are assigned
- Overseas candidates may be considered where sponsorship and visa requirements are met
