Branch Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Give the whole branch clear direction and leadership
- Define business objectives and the performance standards expected of each team
- Guide and grow the managers, supervisors and operational staff who report to you
- Shape a culture in which people are engaged and consistently perform well
- Mentor staff and recognise those with the potential to lead in future
- Lift engagement levels and keep good people in the business
- Act as the visible advocate for health, safety and wellbeing initiatives
- Cultivate lasting relationships with customers and important stakeholders
- Back sales activity and business development efforts
- Push for efficient operations and an excellent standard of service
- Supervise the service, parts, sales and engineering functions while keeping branch budgets and commercial results on track
- Spot where processes can be improved and settle operational or customer problems as they arise
- Take part in strategic planning alongside senior leadership
- Uphold the organisation's values and professional standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- Substantial leadership background in a branch or operational setting, having overseen varied teams and several business functions
- Senior management experience in an earlier role is strongly preferred
- Industry background in heavy transport, equipment, automotive or industrial sectors
- A solid record in customer service and managing relationships, plus proven skill in handling budgets and commercial targets
- Demonstrated capability in leading people and developing employees
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Able to work effectively at a fast pace, bringing a strategic mindset grounded in practical operational capability
- A firm personal commitment to workplace safety and staff wellbeing
- Industry-relevant experience or qualifications
- Willing to relocate to New Zealand; sponsorship is available for suitably qualified overseas candidates
