An established kitchen and cabinetry business in Western Australia has a permanent, full-time opening for an experienced Cabinet Maker / Kitchen Installer. It is a role for a tradesperson with genuine industry experience who takes ownership of accurate, professional-quality results, from reading plans and preparing cabinetry through to detailed installations in residential homes.
Practical ability, a careful eye and a dependable approach sit at the heart of the work. Applicants are assessed on relevant qualifications, employment history and demonstrated trade capability, so the position goes to someone whose skills genuinely fit. Ongoing residential cabinetry work and the chance to build a long-term career with an established business are on offer. Please note that applicants must currently be residing in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Install kitchens, cabinets and cabinetry components in residential properties, checking that each is aligned, level and securely fixed
- Interpret cabinetry plans, drawings and specifications, measuring installation areas accurately to confirm site dimensions
- Assemble and prepare cabinets ready for installation
- Fit doors, panels, fillers, kickboards and hardware
- Adapt and adjust cabinetry to suit site conditions, completing alterations and finishing work on site
- Work with laminate, melamine and other cabinetry materials
- Recognise installation challenges early and apply practical fixes
- Deliver projects efficiently to the required specifications while holding workmanship and attention to detail to a high standard
- Cooperate with colleagues and other trades, and communicate professionally in customers' homes
- Keep the work area clean, organised and safe, following applicable workplace health and safety procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- Must currently be residing in Australia
- Minimum 5 years of relevant cabinet-making, joinery or kitchen installation experience
- Relevant trade qualification in cabinet making, joinery or a related discipline preferred
- Demonstrated experience installing residential kitchens and cabinetry, backed by strong practical knowledge of cabinet construction and installation
- Ability to interpret plans, drawings and measurements accurately, with strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to carry out on-site modifications and solve problems as they arise
- Good communication and teamwork skills, plus the ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks
- A professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach
- Australian driver's licence or ability to obtain one, and reliable transport
- Verifiable employment history and evidence of relevant trade experience; previous Australian industry experience is highly regarded
