Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, engaging care that supports every child's wellbeing and development as a learner
- Earn the trust of children, families and co-educators, keeping all communication with parents and colleagues professional
- Shape play-based programs and day-to-day learning experiences, putting the curriculum into practice under EYLF V2.0 and/or MTOP
- Recognise what each child is interested in, good at and needs developmentally, then observe, record and reflect on how their learning progresses
- Foster children's independence, confidence, belonging and active participation
- Set up learning environments that are inclusive, stimulating and well organised
- Work hand in hand with Room Leaders and the wider educator team
- Uphold appropriate supervision, child safety, hygiene and health practices, following all relevant legislation, regulations, policies and centre procedures
- Join quality improvement and service development activities and add to a positive culture built on teamwork, accountability and respect
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification
- Relevant experience gained in early childhood education
- Current Working with Children Check and current CPR and First Aid certification
- Current Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management training, together with relevant training in national child safety and child protection
- Understanding of EYLF V2.0 and/or MTOP, and of the regulatory requirements and legislation governing Australian early childhood education
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A professional, responsible attitude to the safety and wellbeing of children, and the ability to build positive relationships with children and their families
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team, and a commitment to upholding professional standards and continuous improvement
- Willingness to undergo all required employment, suitability and compliance checks
- Sponsorship available for suitable and eligible candidates, subject to applicable requirements and successful completion of probation
