On a remote construction project, a trade certificate is only the starting point. The work calls for electricians who operate on their own initiative, adjust quickly and produce safe, dependable outcomes across a broad mix of jobs. Experienced Electricians are needed for FIFO project work in the Northern Territory, on a 2:1 roster with accommodation and meals provided.
You will join a practical crew backing construction and infrastructure activity alongside other trades, keeping projects on track safely and efficiently. For electricians on projects in Abu Dhabi, Doha or Riyadh, it is a considered next move.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems on remote construction projects, including HV and LV cabling
- Terminate switchboards and MCC, and install motors, lighting and power systems
- Run steel conduits and put in earthing systems
- Trace electrical faults and put them right
- Support electrical scopes in mining, civil and heavy industry settings, coordinating shared activities with plumbers, fitters and civil crews
- Adapt as work priorities and remote site conditions change
- Uphold safe work practices and quality standards, helping projects meet deadlines through dependable teamwork and communication
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification, together with a current electrical licence appropriate to the role
- Verified, relevant experience gained in mining, construction, civil or heavy industry, including safe work in remote or project-based settings
- Current First Aid and CPR
- UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel
- Nationally Recognised Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Ability to commit to a 2:1 FIFO roster
- Demonstrated capacity to take on a varied range of electrical work, a dependable, adaptable approach on site and strong communication and teamwork skills
- Refrigeration tickets highly desirable
- Certificate IV in Instrumentation advantageous, and Fibre endorsements also advantageous
- ACMA accreditation is advantageous; Certificate II in Split Air-conditioning and Heat Pump Systems is likewise advantageous
- Willing to complete the required pre-employment checks; sponsorship is available for suitable eligible candidates
