Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical maintenance, servicing and repairs, testing systems to find what needs maintaining or fixing
- Track down faults and diagnose them effectively
- Complete electrical installations in a range of work environments, including commercial installation work when required
- Work from electrical plans, specifications and technical information, using tools, testing equipment and machinery correctly
- Make sure every job is safe and meets the required standards, keeping your work area clean, safe and organised
- Finish assigned work efficiently with high workmanship standards, working alone on individual tasks and alongside other team members
- Deal professionally with customers and colleagues and provide reliable service that leaves customers with a positive experience
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified electrician holding relevant trade certification
- Hands-on electrical maintenance experience you can demonstrate, strong practical command of repairs and fault finding, and the ability to work through technical issues and diagnose problems on your own
- Commercial electrical experience is advantageous
- A solid understanding of electrical safety, compliance and workplace procedures, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- A dependable, professional and hardworking approach, communicating effectively with customers and team members
- A proven employment history that can be verified, and willingness to provide documentation supporting qualifications and work experience
- Overseas candidates must satisfy applicable New Zealand employment and immigration requirements
- Sponsorship available for suitably qualified candidates who meet the employer's requirements
