Field Service Technician

Trade · Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand · Full-Time · $38/hr

If you have spent years keeping access equipment running on demanding projects in the Gulf or elsewhere, this Wellington vacancy could be a well-judged move to New Zealand. The employer needs an experienced technician with proven skill in diagnosing, servicing and repairing Access/EWP equipment.

The position is permanent and full-time, with competitive pay, a company vehicle and a range of employee benefits.

  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers and internal teams, communicating professionally at all times
  • Keep accurate records of every service, inspection and repair
  • Make sure machinery is maintained to safety and operational requirements
  • Move efficiently between different equipment types and service settings
  • Keep building your technical knowledge across the company's equipment range

  • Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel, Mechanical Engineering, Machinery or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' machinery diagnosis, repair and maintenance experience, including at least 2 years working directly on Access/EWP equipment
  • Demonstrable work on petrol and diesel machinery, backed by strong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Able to show evidence of your relevant qualifications and employment history
  • A full and valid driver's licence
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in field service
  • A commitment to workplace safety and professional standards
