Formwork Carpenter

Major construction projects across New South Wales need Formwork Carpenters who can join established crews in Sydney and add value from day one. Pride in quality workmanship and a clear grasp of what a site demands are central to the role.
The employer is looking for experienced tradespeople who can clearly show their hands-on formwork skills and employment history, and who bring the technical ability, dependability and site awareness to work confidently on big builds.

Key Responsibilities
- Construct and fit formwork for concrete projects, assembling, positioning and fixing the structures securely
- Read project specifications, plans and drawings, then measure, mark and set out formwork precisely
- Use a range of construction methods and formwork systems
- Check finished formwork for stability, levels, alignment and accuracy
- Handle power and hand tools safely, following health and safety procedures at all times and keeping your work area tidy and safe
- Liaise with supervisors and other trades on live sites, helping the wider team keep projects on schedule
- Get allocated work done efficiently and to the quality standards required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of proven formwork carpentry experience, including demonstrated hands-on work with formwork systems
- Sound understanding of formwork construction techniques, and able to read and follow specifications and construction drawings
- Valid White Card
- A track record of productive work within established site crews, backed by strong teamwork and communication
- Professional and dependable, and able to cope with a physically demanding construction environment
- Eligible high-performing onshore candidates may be considered for sponsorship
