Key Responsibilities
- Look after residential and commercial gardens, delivering maintenance work to a consistently high standard
- Carry out pruning, hedging, weeding and planting, and keep plants healthy, with a sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach to improving each site
- Guide the crew day to day so work runs efficiently, mentoring apprentices and less experienced staff with sound horticultural advice
- Plan your allocated jobs and get them finished within the set timeframes, working alongside colleagues so clients receive the same quality every visit
- Spot where a garden could be improved and suggest practical maintenance options
- Use and look after gardening equipment safely, and present the company professionally while building good relationships with clients
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated background in horticulture, garden maintenance or landscaping, plus a relevant horticulture qualification or strong industry experience
- Confidence to handle garden maintenance work on your own, and a track record of working in a team and supporting others in a leadership capacity
- Strong communicator with a professional manner and a reliable, honest, committed work ethic
- Excellent eye for detail and genuine pride in the finished job
- Good organisation and time management
- Capable with hand tools, machinery and industry equipment, and holding a current manual driver's licence
