General Maintenance Supervisor

An established hospitality and accommodation property in regional New South Wales needs an experienced General Maintenance Supervisor: someone hands-on, capable across multiple trades and at ease in a dynamic setting.
You will be accountable for the accommodation facilities, public areas, recreational amenities, landscaped grounds and general property infrastructure, so that guests and staff always find the site safe, functional and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities
- Make routine rounds of the site to find work that needs doing, and answer calls for help from management and guests without delay
- Handle building repairs and planned upkeep, from basic carpentry, painting and plastering through to plumbing and general handyman tasks
- Look after guest rooms, amenities, shared public facilities and recreation spaces, plus pools, pumps and the wider property infrastructure
- Tend gardens, roads, fences and landscaping using lawn mowers, brush cutters, tractors and similar machinery
- Pitch in on renovation, refurbishment and property upgrade projects
- Follow Workplace Health and Safety standards on every job
- Care for tools and equipment and keep maintenance logs current
- Support the site's overall presentation and smooth, efficient operation
Requirements & Eligibility
- Prior work in general maintenance, building maintenance, facilities management or a comparable position, with practical ability across multiple trades
- Able to pinpoint the cause of maintenance faults and sort them out efficiently
- Physically fit for manual labour, dependable, self-motivated and happy to work unsupervised
- A clear communicator with a good customer service manner
- Current driver's licence, or willingness to obtain an Australian driver's licence
- Trade experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting or landscaping is highly regarded; a White Card is advantageous
- Operating experience on a forklift, tractor or excavator is desirable, and a background in hotels, resorts, caravan parks or tourism facilities is preferred
