You will be the mechanical support on the ground for a varied heavy equipment fleet, attending breakdowns, tracing faults, carrying out maintenance and backing up operational work at client sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Travel to client sites to repair and maintain heavy equipment in the field
- Track down mechanical and equipment faults and put them right
- Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs without delay
- Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance
- Assist with shutdowns and the relocation of equipment when required
- Work with confidence on major OEM heavy equipment, keeping workmanship high on every task
- Organise your daily workload so required deadlines are met
- Complete accurate service reports and maintenance records
- Keep clients, site representatives and fellow team members well informed
- Follow workplace and site safety procedures and add to a professional, safety-focused team
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised Heavy Diesel trade qualification, or an equivalent qualification that is relevant
- Relevant experience working as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining heavy mobile equipment
- Strong problem-solving, fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience with major OEM equipment is highly regarded
- A valid driver's licence that satisfies the role requirements
- A High Risk Work Licence for LF and/or WP is advantageous
- Able to work effectively in a field service setting, with a strong understanding of safe work practices
- Able to complete the required pre-employment assessments
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Your qualifications, work history and professional identity must be able to be verified
