Key Responsibilities
- Consult with each client on their individual hair requirements and recommend suitable care routines and professional products
- Deliver precision cuts with scissors, thinning scissors and clippers, including men's cutting and styling
- Carry out professional colouring, highlighting, chemical straightening and other applicable treatments
- Handle shampooing, conditioning and scalp preparation
- Style hair for formal occasions, events and professional sessions, including braiding and hair pieces when required, always tailored to client preferences
- Hold technical workmanship and presentation to a high standard and keep your workstation organised and hygienic
- Build positive, professional client relationships that support retention and a loyal clientele
- Contribute to a cooperative, supportive salon environment
Requirements & Eligibility
- Professional hairdressing experience with practical skills you can demonstrate, within a maximum of 5 years' industry experience
- Strong cutting, colouring and styling ability, including hands-on highlighting and chemical treatment work
- Confidence cutting men's and women's hair, and competence with event and occasion styling
- A good understanding of hair care and product recommendations, with strong client consultation and communication abilities
- Reliable, punctual and professionally presented, with a friendly and confident approach to customer service
- Able to work effectively within a team, showing a demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail
- A flexible approach to working hours
