The position suits someone who delivers quality results independently while continuing to grow within a recognised salon network.
Hours are flexible at first, with the potential to progress into full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold a consultation with every client to understand the style, colour and overall result they prefer, assessing hair condition and recommending suitable styling and colour
- Deliver professional cuts, styling and colour, applying contemporary colouring techniques with precise attention to detail
- Produce consistent, high-quality results across the full range of hair services
- Develop professional client relationships that keep satisfaction high
- Present yourself immaculately and uphold salon professionalism, keeping the workspace organised, clean and welcoming
- Work alongside other experienced salon professionals and take part in salon training and ongoing skills development
- Keep abreast of current hair trends, techniques and industry practices
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of professional practice as a qualified hairdresser, backed by a relevant hairdressing qualification or recognised industry training
- Salon experience that is genuinely hands-on and can be verified with appropriate employment evidence, forming a consistent professional employment history
- Well-developed practical skill in cutting, styling and modern colour work
- Assured in professional client consultations, and strong in communication and customer service
- Dependable, approachable and dedicated to quality, with readiness for ongoing training and professional development
- A commitment of at least 5 months or longer
- Flexible availability, with the potential of progressing from part-time to full-time hours
